Since 2001, hundreds of  new companies have been set up based on research from the universities in the MICRA partnership. This has created thousands of jobs and attracted many millions of pounds in investment.

A key part of the MICRA programme is to continue this important work by supporting research projects to a stage where they have an investment-ready product or service to offer.
